The VitaliTEA Experience is inspired in part by emerging neuroscience research exploring how emotional experiences and trauma influence the brain and body. Research such as that led by Bianca Jones Marlin has helped illuminate how stress and environment can shape biological responses across generations, highlighting the importance of supportive environments for young people’s development and well-being
Across cultures, tea has long served as a ritual of pause, reflection, and connection. From the Japanese tea ceremony and traditional Chinese medicine to West African tea gatherings and Caribbean bush tea traditions, tea symbolizes hospitality, healing, and the sharing of life energy.
The VitaliTEA Experience brings these traditions together with a modern understanding of emotional wellness and community building, creating a space where girls can reconnect with their inner vitality and begin transforming trauma patterns into thriving possibilities.

VitaliTEA is a Self-Discovery Sanctuary where girls explore the layers of who they are through Self-reflection, Sipping tea, Science, and Sisterhood.
In this pilot experience, Part 1: Do you love me? Science meets the Soul. We will spill actual tea, explore the science of love and connection, and create space for girls to understand their emotional world while building meaningful bonds with one another.
This isn’t just an experience. It’s the beginning of a resurrection.

Invitation to Parents, Guardians, Community Leaders & Supporters
SWAG INC in partnership with Black Mothers in Power warmly invite you to support the girls in your lives by encouraging them to participate in the VitaliTEA Experience.
This first gathering is intentionally limited to 7 girls, ages 11–14, so each participant has the space to feel seen, heard, and supported. Part 1: Do you love me? is offered as a free community session as we gather feedback and refine the series for future experiences.
Participants will engage in:
Group discussions
Reflective activities
Movement & meditation
Science, Sipping tea & enjoying refreshments

*All activities are facilitated by a licensed educator and youth wellness practitioner.
